  • 37th International Symposium on Application of Computers and Operations Research on Minerals IndustriesMay 23-27, 2015, Fairbanks, Alaska.  The focus of the 37th APCOM Symposium is to further APCOM’s goal of contributing to effective decision-making processes throughout the entire minerals industry. The technical program for this symposium is a balance of exploration, including geostatistics, mine design, production planning, investment analysis, artificial intelligence simulation, mine automation, rock mechanics, mineral processing and data management systems. The program is designed to facilitate and promote application of computers and operations research in the mineral industry. The organizing committee has issued a call for papers seeking papers from the United States and the international APCOM community. To submit an abstract for consideration, go to: www.apcom2015.org. The deadline for abstract submission is August 1, 2014.
  • The 7th International Conference on Sustainable Development in the Minerals Industry (SDIMI2015)will be held in Vancouver, Canada, on July 12 - 15 2015.  The SDIMI conference series focuses on how the mineral industries through the development, operations and closure of projects contribute to sustainable development.   • The Australian Mine Ventilation Conference, 31 Aug and 1 Sept, 2015. The conference will bring together operators, planning personnel, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, government regulators, consultants and research and technology personnel to explore achievements and build a better industry.  The August 2014 bulletin is available here. The deadline for abstract submission is November 3, 2014.

  • The Third International Future Mining Conference 2015, 4 – 6 November 2015, Sydney, Australia. 
    Future Mining 2015 will address innovations and opportunities to transfer scientific and technological developments from other disciplines into the minerals industry. It will examine the human factors and skill needs for the future operations, identify possible blue sky scenarios of Mining in the Future, strategies of mining education and research, novel mining systems and future commodities and directions. Furthermore, the Second Off-Earth Mining Forum will be held as a post-conference event on 6 November 2015.
