FEMP:

FEMP is the organisation that organizes and co-ordinates the European Mining, Minerals and Environmental Program (EMMEP) for students in Resource Engineering, Mining- and Geotechnical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Recycling and related academic studies. There are three different specialisations; accommodating groups with 20-25 students each. FEMP's role is mainly to coordinate the cooperation with 35 companies which support FEMP, manage the financial aspects of the program and maintain the contact with the 700 alumni. The Joint Master EMMEP is a two-year MSc degree programme offered by five of Europe's leading universities in resource engineering and mining. Participating students study together at universities in three different European countries for three semesters and complete a one semester thesis project at one of the three universities. Joining the EMMEP is an excellent opportunity to study abroad, meet foreign students, visit companies, and spend 2 years in an international environment. Starting September 2014 the program changes from a 1 year course to a 2 year full international joint MSc. program. The business plan for the new plan can be downloaded from here.
